Arizona’s ‘best bakery’ is Moving

Urban Cookies is moving.

The bakery, which won on an episode of the Food Network’s “Cupcake Wars” in 2011, is moving from its space on Highland Avenue to Sheridan Place on Seventh Street, according to The Arizona Republic.

Urban Cookies will leave its 1,000-square-foot shop at 4711 N. Seventh St. on March 30, and that building will be demolished. The bakery will have a grand opening in its new 2,500-square-foot space at 2325 N. Seventh St. on April 1, taking over three spaces currently occupied by The Pie Hole and formerly occupied by The Artisan Guild Space, the latter of which has closed.

The Pie Hole will be moving to 15414 N. Seventh St. in north Phoenix and open April 11.

Urban Cookies’ new space is next to the likes of Main Ingredient Ale House and Cafe and Humble Pie.

Urban Cookies has been named the best bakery in Arizona by FourSquare.
