Benchmark Electronics, an electronics manufacturing, engineering and design company that is moving its headquarters to the Phoenix area from Angleton, on Tuesday announced that a pair of executive vice presidents will not relocate with the company.
The company announced in April that it’s relocating so it can consolidate corporate headquarters staff in one location, expand its engineering capabilities through a partnership with Arizona State University and position the company closer to its aerospace and defense customers.
on King, who oversees global operations, and Greg Cominos, sales and marketing, will not make the move to Arizona. King will stay on until his successor is in place, and Cominos’ responsibilities will be assumed by President and CEO Paul Tufano until a replacement is named.
More specifically, Angleton offers electrical manufacturing services for market sectors including telecommunications, industrial controls and computing.
Weeks said the number of corporate staff being affected by the move is “relatively small,” and the company will retain some of its financial and IT corporate services Angleton.
